New Jersey High School Basketball - Watchung Hills Regional can't hold off Union City
December 17, 2022: Warren, NJ 07059 The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Watchung Hills Regional Warriors to 52 in the Soaring Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Soaring Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ewing for a non-league contest on Sunday, December 18. Union City will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 76-37 league win over Hopewell Valley Central (Pennington, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-0.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ). The Red Devil come into the Skyland - Raritan contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Ridge was nudged by Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ), 62-39, in a non-league contest.
