Florida High School Basketball - Spanish River overwhelms American Heritage
December 6, 2008: Boca Raton, FL 33496 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Spanish River Sharks (Boca Raton, FL) and the visiting American Heritage Stallions (Delray Beach, FL), saw Spanish River's basketball squad trounce American Heritage by a score of 69-48.
With the victory, Spanish River improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Santaluces (Lantana, FL) to battle the Chiefs in a 6A District 10 challenge on Tuesday, December 9. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Santaluces won 64-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Forest Hill (West Palm Beach, FL)
Next up, the Stallions clash with the King's Academy Lions (West Palm Beach, FL) in a 2A District 13 test, on Tuesday, December 9. American Heritage will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 1-3 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Highlands Christian (Pompano Beach, FL).
