Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Minersville overwhelmed by Shikellamy
January 29, 2022: Sunbury, PA 17801 The Shikellamy Braves basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Minersville Battlin' Miners to 40 in the Braves non-league victory on Saturday.
The Braves now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Columbia for a non-league contest on Monday, January 31. Shikellamy will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 62-59 league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA). The Bluejays record now stands at 4-13.
The Battlin' Miners (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Hurricanes come into the Schuylkill County 2 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Schuylkill Haven was routed by Hamburg (Hamburg, PA), 49-46, in a non-league contest.
