New Mexico High School Basketball - East Mountain overwhelmed by Moriarty
January 17, 2019: Moriarty, NM 87035 The Moriarty Pintos basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting East Mountain Timberwolves to 20 in the Pintos non-league victory on Thursday.
The Pintos now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portales for a non-league contest on Friday, January 18. Moriarty will battle a Rams team coming off a 62-58 non-league loss to Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Rams record now stands at 6-10.
The Timberwolves (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Cuba (Cuba, NM). The Rams come into the 3A District 5 contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Cuba was routed by Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 60-58, in a non-league contest.
