The Mt. Vernon Wildcats basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Evansville Central Bears to 47 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bosse for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 14. Mt. Vernon will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 56-45 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
