September 23, 2011: Chicago, IL 60624 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Rich East Rockets (Park Forest, IL), saw Providence-St. Mel's volleyball squad beat Rich East by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Providence-St. Mel upgrades its record to 14-1 on the year. The Knights travel to Lyons (LaGrange, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 24. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Lyons won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lemont (Lemont, IL)
The Rockets now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Queen of Peace for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 24. Rich East will play a Pride squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL). The Pride record now stands at 5-12.
