North Carolina High School Basketball - St. Pauls topped by Seventy-First
January 5, 2022: Fayetteville, NC 28304 The Seventy-First Falcons basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the visiting St. Pauls Bulldogs to 62 in the Falcons non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Falcons now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jack Britt for a 3A/4A Conference 22 contest on Friday, January 7. Seventy-First will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 60-47 league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-8.
The Bulldogs (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Midway (Dunn, NC). The Raiders come into the 2A Conference 7 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Midway was defeated by Red Springs (Red Springs, NC), 56-48, in a league contest.
