The Lufkin Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Klein Collins Tigers to 50 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palestine for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lufkin will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 68-26 non-league win over Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Fort Bend Dulles nudged George Ranch (Richmond, TX), 51-44, in a league contest.
