Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) and the visiting Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), saw Metro-East Lutheran's basketball squad wallop Gillespie by a tally of 75-39.

With the victory, Metro-East Lutheran improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL) to play the Explorers in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 25. The Explorers come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Marquette Catholic won 58-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Staunton (Staunton, IL)

Next up, the Miners play the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, November 29. Gillespie will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
