Iowa High School Basketball - Davis County crushes Pekin
January 26, 2023: Bloomfield, IA 52537 Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA), 65-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Davis County upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Mustangs host Albia (Albia, IA) to clash with the Blue Demons in a South Central bout on Friday, January 27. The Blue Demons go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Albia won 60-31 in their recent non-league bout against Cardinal (Eldon, IA)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA) in a SEI - North bout, on Friday, January 27. Pekin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 48-25 league win over Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA).
