In Friday's non-league match, the host Tupelo Golden Wave basketball team scored a decisive 62-25 triumph over the New Hope Trojans.

In their next game, the Golden Wave meet the Horn Lake Eagles (Horn Lake, MS) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 12. Tupelo will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 6-2 record after their 63-38 non-league win over Gentry (Indianola, MS).
