Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting North Stafford Wolverines (Stafford, VA), 70-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 5. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-6.

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 20. North Stafford will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 8-1 record after their 62-60 non-league win over Jackson (Manassas, VA).
