Indiana High School Basketball - Muncie Central nips Marion

February 2, 2023: Marion, IN 46953

Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Marion Giants (Marion, IN), 70-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Muncie Central upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Bearcats host Fort Wayne South Side (Fort Wayne, IN) to play the Archers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Archers go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Fort Wayne South Side lost 82-29 in their recent non-league bout against North Central (Indianapolis, IN)

Next up, the Giants play the Warsaw Tigers (Warsaw, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 71-56 non-league loss to Chesterton (Chesterton, IN).
