The Willow Canyon Wildcats basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos to 30 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Point for a 5A Central contest on Friday, February 4. Willow Canyon will battle a Dragons team coming off a 48-24 league win over Washington (Phoenix, AZ). The Dragons record now stands at 8-8.

The Fighting Lobos (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Millennium (Goodyear, AZ). The Tigers come into the 5A Desert West contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Millennium was routed by Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ), 71-63, in a non-league contest.
