December 11, 2018: Huntsville, AL 35801 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Columbia Eagles (Huntsville, AL) and the host Huntsville Panthers (Huntsville, AL), saw Columbia's basketball squad hold off Huntsville by a count of 51-50.
With the victory, Columbia upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Athens (Athens, AL) to play the Golden Eagles in a 6A Area 15 challenge on Friday, December 14. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Athens lost 74-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 14. Huntsville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 54-40 non-league win over John Carroll Catholic (Birmingham, AL).
