Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lancers confront the Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA) in a Metro South Bay challenge, on Wednesday, January 5. Hilltop will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Mariners enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Clairemont (San Diego, CA).

The Foothillers now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Cathedral Catholic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 21. Grossmont will confront a Dons team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA). The Dons record now stands at 10-1.
