Texas High School Basketball - Merkel knocked off by Wall
January 12, 2024: Merkel, TX 79536 The Wall Hawks basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Merkel Badgers to 34 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jim Ned for a 3A Region I District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Wall will battle a Indians team coming off a 59-35 league win over Clyde (Clyde, TX). The Indians record now stands at 19-5.
The Badgers (11-10) will now prepare for their contest against Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region I District 6 contest with a 9-13 record.
