California High School Basketball - Corona nudges Whittier

Corona Panthers (Corona, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA), 49-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Corona upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA) to clash with the Royals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Rosary Academy won 95-34 in their recent non-league bout against Whittier (Whittier, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the La Quinta Aztecs (Westminster, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Whittier will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Aztecs go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 51-23 non-league loss to Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA).
