Missouri High School Softball - Fort Osage holds off Belton
September 25, 2023: Independence, MO 64058 Fort Osage Indians (Independence, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Belton Pirates (Belton, MO), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Kansas City for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 26. Fort Osage will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 16-4 non-league win over Raytown South (Raytown, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 5-10.
With the loss, Belton falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Pirates host Raytown (Raytown, MO) to battle the Bluejays in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 26. The Bluejays enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Raytown lost 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Park (Kansas City, MO)
