In Friday's non-league outing, the Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ), by a margin of 68-36.

The Cougars (11-2) will now prepare for their outing against Sunny Hills (Fullerton, CA). The Lancers go into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Sunny Hills smashed Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV), 49-39, in a non-league outing.

The Bears now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Boulder Creek for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Basha will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 51-36 non-league loss to Central (Phoenix, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-8.
