In Friday's non-league outing, the The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Katy Tigers (Katy, TX), by a margin of 56-54.

The Highlanders (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against New Caney (New Caney, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region II District 13 outing with a 3-6 record. In their last outing, New Caney was tipped by Willis (Willis, TX), 65-53, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mayde Creek for a 6A Region III District 19 outing on Tuesday, December 5. Katy will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Cypress Lakes (Katy, TX). The Rams record now stands at 6-7.
