The Wapello Indians basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Lone Tree Lions to 37 in the Indians league triumph on Tuesday.

The Indians now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winfield-Mt. Union for a SEI - North contest on Friday, January 28. Wapello will battle a Wolves team coming off a 40-39 league loss to Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 13-3.

The Lions (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, English Valleys ran past Sigourney (Sigourney, IA), 61-41, in a league contest.
