In Thursday's league challenge, the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) baseball squad edged the host Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), by a final score of 7-6.

With the win, Desert Vista upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Thunder host Perry (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Pumas in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Pumas come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Perry lost 14-4 in their recent league challenge against Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ)

With the defeat, Highland falls to 6-12 on the season. The Hawks travel to Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to battle the Jaguars in a 6A Central challenge on Monday, April 10.
