Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lancaster Bruins (Lancaster, SC) and the host South Pointe Stallions (Rock Hill, SC), saw Lancaster's basketball squad hold off South Pointe by a count of 44-41.

With the victory, Lancaster upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Bruins host York (York, SC) to play the Cougars in a AAAA Region III challenge on Monday, January 14. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. York lost 54-24 in their recent league challenge against Clover (Clover, SC)

Next up, the Stallions play the Fort Mill Yellowjackets (Fort Mill, SC) in a AAAA Region III challenge, on Monday, January 14. South Pointe will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 48-46 league loss to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC).
