In Tuesday's league challenge, the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) baseball squad edged the visiting Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), by a final score of 3-2.

With the win, Veterans Memorial upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Chargers travel to Pioneer (Mission, TX) to battle the Diamondbacks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 11. The Diamondbacks come into the challenge with a record of 11-1. Pioneer won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX)

With the defeat, Porter falls to 8-3 on the season. The Cowboys host San Benito (San Benito, TX) to battle the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 12.
