The Apollo Hawks basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors to 35 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saguaro for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 10. Apollo will meet a Sabercats team coming off a 67-52 non-league win over Cactus (Glendale, AZ). The Sabercats record now stands at 3-4.

The Prospectors (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against McClintock (Tempe, AZ). The Chargers enter the 4A Desert Sky contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, McClintock trounced Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ), 65-33, in a non-league contest.
