The Monroe Central Golden Bears basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Cowan Blackhawks to 60 in the Golden Bears non-league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Bears now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madison-Grant for a non-league contest on Friday, February 24. Monroe Central will meet a Argylls team coming off a 40-36 non-league win over Eastern (Greentown, IN). The Argylls record now stands at 11-10.

The Blackhawks (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Elwood (Elwood, IN). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Elwood was nudged by Oak Hill (Converse, IN), 63-41, in a league contest.
