January 13, 2018: Sidney, NE 69162 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE) basketball squad edged the host Sidney Red Raiders (Sidney, NE), by a count of 70-65.
With the victory, Lexington upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Minutemen host McCook (McCook, NE) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 6-8. McCook lost 41-36 in their recent league bout against Minden (Minden, NE)
Next up, the Red Raiders play the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) in a B District 8 bout, on Friday, January 19. Sidney will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 63-62 non-league win over Central (Cheyenne, WY).
