Illinois High School Basketball - Lewistown tops Delavan
February 9, 2019: Delavan, IL 61734 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) and the host Delavan Panthers (Delavan, IL), saw Lewistown's basketball squad knock off Delavan by a tally of 49-39.
With the victory, Lewistown improves its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Farmington (Farmington, IL) to play the Farmers in a Prairieland challenge on Monday, February 11. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Farmington lost 50-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 12. Delavan will attempt to improve on its 15-11 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 9-18 record after their 71-53 non-league loss to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL).
