Alabama High School Baseball - Appalachian holds off West End
April 16, 2021: Oneonta, AL 35121 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL) and the visiting West End Lions (Birmingham, AL), saw Appalachian's baseball squad knock off West End by a count of 10-6.
Coming up next, the Eagles play the Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 23. Appalachian will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record. The Red Raiders enter the battle with a 5-16 record after their 13-12 non-league loss to Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL).
The Lions now possess a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Glencoe for a non-league battle on Monday, April 19. West End will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-20.
