Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) and the visiting Teague Lions (Teague, TX), saw Franklin's basketball squad wallop Teague by a tally of 66-29.

With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Buffalo (Buffalo, TX) to confront the Bison in a 3A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 7-15. Buffalo lost 38-27 in their recent league challenge against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX)

Next up, the Lions confront the Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Teague will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Black Cats come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 72-40 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX).
