St. Ignatius Wildcats (San Francisco, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 3.

With the loss, St. Francis falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA) to battle the Monarchs in a West Catholic game on Tuesday, April 7. The Monarchs come into the game with a record of 7-0. Archbishop Mitty won 4-0 in their recent league game against Presentation (San Jose, CA)
