The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) and the visiting Decatur Red Raiders (Decatur, AL), saw Brewer's volleyball squad nip Decatur by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Brewer upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to West Morgan (Trinity, AL) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 1-1. West Morgan lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Florence, AL)

The Red Raiders now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sylvania for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. Decatur will play a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Glencoe (Glencoe, AL). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
