Texas High School Football - Independence beat Liberty

October 14, 2016: Frisco, TX 75035

The Independence Knights football squad scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Liberty Redhawks to 17 in the Knights league victory on Friday.

The Knights now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wakeland for a 5A Region II District 13 contest on Thursday, October 20. Independence will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 38-35 league loss to Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-2.

Coming up next, the Redhawks encounter the Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 contest, on Friday, October 21. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Coyotes go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 38-35 league loss to Frisco (Frisco, TX).
