January 16, 2024: New Port Richey, FL 34655 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) and the visiting Lakewood Ranch Mustangs (Bradenton, FL), saw Mitchell's soccer squad get by Lakewood Ranch by a count of 4-3.
The Mustangs now hold a 15-3 record. They play next when they travel to Springstead for a non-league test on Thursday, January 18. Mitchell will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Lakewood Ranch drops to 9-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Cypress Creek (Wesley Chapel, FL) to meet the Coyotes in a non-league test on Thursday, January 18. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 8-3. Cypress Creek lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL)
