In Friday's non-league match, the host Central Mountain Wildcats football squad scored a big 48-13 victory over the Bloomsburg Panthers.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Shikellamy Braves (Sunbury, PA) in a Heartland I match, on Friday, September 8. Central Mountain will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Braves enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 23-6 non-league loss to Mifflin County (Lewistown, PA).

The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Hughesville (Hughesville, PA). The Spartans enter the Heartland III match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Hughesville was crushed by Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA), 46-0, in a non-league match.
