In Thursday's non-league match, the host Linden Patriots football squad scored a big 52-0 victory over the Central Falcons.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Fruitdale Pirates (Fruitdale, AL) in a 1A Region 1 match, on Friday, September 2. Linden will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to Southern Choctaw (Gilbertown, AL).
