California High School Basketball - Whitney can't hold off Placer

The Placer Hillmen basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Whitney Wildcats to 54 in the Hillmen league victory on Thursday.

The Hillmen now sport a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln for a Pioneer Valley contest on Tuesday, January 19. Placer will meet a Fighting Zebras team coming off a 55-47 league loss to Bear River (Grass Valley, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 7-11.

The Wildcats (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against El Dorado (Placerville, CA). The Cougars come into the Pioneer Valley contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, El Dorado edged Colfax (Colfax, CA), 57-41, in a league contest.
