Vermont High School Basketball - Rice Memorial fells Burr & Burton
January 8, 2019: South Burlington, VT 05403 Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Burr & Burton Bulldogs (Manchester, VT), 42-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rice Memorial upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Green Knights travel to Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT) to clash with the Redhawks in a Metro bout on Friday, January 11. The Redhawks go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Champlain Valley Union won 49-40 in their recent league bout against St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT)
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 11. Burr & Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 47-19 league loss to Vergennes (Vergennes, VT).
