North Carolina High School Basketball - Hunt nips West Johnston

January 19, 2024: Wilson, NC 27893

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) and the visiting West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), saw Hunt's basketball squad hold off West Johnston by a tally of 65-59.

With the victory, Hunt improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Fike (Wilson, NC) to play the Demons in a 3A Quad County challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 2-10.

Next up, the Wildcats play the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) in a 3A Quad County challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. West Johnston will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 91-46 league loss to East Wake (Wendell, NC).
