Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Tuloso-Midway Warriors/Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX), 61-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ball upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Friendswood (Friendswood, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 24 bout on Monday, December 10. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Friendswood won 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Mayde Creek (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Warriors/Cherokees play the King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 4. Tuloso-Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 50-42 non-league loss to Victoria West (Victoria, TX).
