Maryland High School Basketball - Northern tops Fort Hill
December 7, 2023: Cumberland, MD 21502 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Northern Huskies (Accident, MD) and the host Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), saw Northern's basketball squad knock off Fort Hill by a tally of 42-24.
With the victory, Northern improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Huskies host Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Meyersdale won 39-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence, PA)
Next up, the Sentinels play the Southern Rams (Oakland, MD) in a Appalachian Mountain challenge, on Monday, December 11. Fort Hill will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 72-53 non-league loss to Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV).
