Illinois High School Basketball - Joliet Catholic knocked off by Pontiac
January 8, 2022: Joliet, IL 60435 The Pontiac Indians basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers to 59 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Indians now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morris for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 11. Pontiac will meet a Redskins team coming off a 59-55 league loss to Plano (Plano, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 9-8.
The Hilltoppers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Roadrunners enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Nazareth Academy was defeated by Naperville Central (Naperville, IL), 53-49, in a non-league contest.
