Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 21-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethel for a Southwest - Patriot challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Pomperaug will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-6 league win over Stratford (Stratford, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Weston falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Newtown (Newtown, CT) to battle the Nighthawks in a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Wednesday, April 12.
