The Chester Yellowjackets basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting High Island Cardinals to 25 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goodrich for a 1A Region IV District 28 contest on Friday, January 27. Chester will battle a Hornets team coming off a 65-11 league win over Burkeville (Burkeville, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 7-15.

The Cardinals (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Leggett (Leggett, TX). The Pirates enter the 1A Region IV District 28 contest with a 7-17 record. In their last contest, Leggett was routed by Spurger (Spurger, TX), 69-42, in a league contest.
