Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Empire Ravens (Tucson, AZ) and the host Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ), saw Empire's basketball squad hold off Vista Grande by a tally of 47-45.

With the victory, Empire improves its record to 18-10 on the campaign. The Ravens host Pueblo (Tucson, AZ) to confront the Warriors in a III Section III challenge on Friday, January 29. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Pueblo won 63-43 in their recent league challenge against Cholla (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) in a III Section III challenge, on Friday, January 29. Vista Grande will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 71-68 league win over Desert View (Tucson, AZ).
