The Union Yellowjackets walloped the host Stringer Red Devils football team by a count of 42-3 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Scott Central (Forest, MS) to encounter the Rebels in a 2A Region 6 outing on Friday, October 16. The Rebels go into the outing with a record of 5-1. Scott Central won 46-16 in their recent league outing against Newton (Newton, MS)

With the loss, Stringer moves to 3-3 on the season. The Red devils travel to Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS) to encounter the Gators in a 1A Region 4 outing on Friday, October 16. The Gators go into the outing with a record of 1-5. Leake County won 20-12 in their recent league outing against Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS)
