The McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) football defeated the visiting Kern Valley Broncs (Lake Isabella, CA), 47-34 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Wasco Tigers (Wasco, CA) in a South Sequoia bout, on Friday, September 20. McFarland will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 22-8 non-league loss to North (Bakersfield, CA).

The Broncs (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA). The Lions enter the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Mira Monte lost by Arvin (Arvin, CA), 39-33, in a non-league bout.
