Louisiana High School Baseball - Sumner gets by McKinley
February 26, 2011: Kentwood, LA 70444 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) and the visiting McKinley Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA), saw Sumner's baseball squad knock off McKinley by a count of 8-6.
Coming up next, the Cowboys encounter the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 1. Sumner will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Demons come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Lafayette (Lafayette, LA).
The Panthers now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Northeast for a non-league contest on Monday, February 28. McKinley will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Tara (Baton Rouge, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.
