In Tuesday's league match, the host Apollo Hawks basketball team scored a tight 48-41 triumph over the Cactus Cobras.

In their next game, the Hawks confront the Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ) in a II Section II match, on Wednesday, January 18. Apollo will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 7-8 record after their 77-73 non-league loss to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ).
